With the advent of spring and the fresh new adventures it brings, it is so important that we take care of ourselves, nurturing our body-temple so we can function to our highest potential, in equilibrium and harmony. A simple green smoothie is one of the easiest and most effective ways to do this.
Sandra Bottrell of RawLove Superfoods is an expert in raw foods and sent us this simple green smoothie recipe. It is made from ingredients we all have, or should have, in our cupboards. We have tried numerous recipes but this one which tasted fantastic and had so many benefits, just had to be shared. Thank you, Sandra!
Simple Green Smoothie
1 Frozen Banana
1 cup Organic Baby Spinach or Kale
1 tablespoon Organic Green Powder
1 cup Coconut Water
Water – as needed, approx 1 cup.
Blend until very smooth and enjoy!
NB. Always use very ripe juicy fruit. It’s tastier and easier to digest.
If your bananas are fresh rather than frozen, you can add ice as needed.
Synthesis addition: add one drop of Peppermint Oil for extra zing and a host of wellness benefits
